Kirk of the Hills will open second location, Kirk Crossing, in July 2014.  A groundbreaking and prayer ceremony will be held this Sunday, August 25, at Highway 75 at 114th Street where Kirk Crossing is being built.  Kirk Crossing has been meeting in a school since August 2010 with contemporary worship, student and children programs and messages with Kirk Crossing Campus Pastor Sean Farver.

Kirk Crossing will embody a new, exciting design in church construction.  The church will feature 500 seat worship center, spacious children’s area with large gathering space, open lobby for gathering and separate room designs for special needs.  The design and construction project is by Churches by Daniels.  This location will be especially convenient for those from Jenks, Glenpool, Sapulpa, Bixby and south Tulsa.

Senior Pastor Wayne Hardy said, “For over twenty years the Kirk has sensed God’s calling to start a new church.  We often read in the Bible that we need to “wait on the Lord.”  We have been waiting and now sense it is God’s perfect timing to build a beautiful new building that will be used for His purposes.  Our new vision statement is:  “Transformed by Christ to transform the world.”  This is at the core of who we are and we look forward to seeing lives transformed in Jenks, Sapulpa, Glenpool and the surrounding communities.”

Kirk Crossing has been busy connecting with the local community by hosting neighborhood outreach events, providing children’s activities at the Jenks Herb Festival, volunteering in the Jenks schools and being a sponsor for Jenks, Glenpool and Sapulpa schools.  In October, they will host a fall festival near the property for families and kids.

Kirk Crossing Campus Pastor Sean Farver said, “As excited as we are that the Lord is allowing us to build a new facility, we're even more excited that He continues to build His Church and that we get to be a part of that.  People of all ages and places in life are discovering that Kirk Crossing is a great place to worship God and be connected up with His work in the world.  From the youngest children and elementary-aged kids, right up through mid-high and high school, young people at Kirk Crossing are learning not only about God's great love for them but also how to live in that love for the sake of others and God's glory.  All of us are learning to live transformed lives as God grows us in His grace.  It's our hope and prayer that this new facility helps us do just that, helps facilitate the ministry God has so graciously given us!”

The Kirk is known in the Tulsa community for its strong Biblical teaching, its exciting children’s and youth programs and its passionate involvement in local and international missions.
